Tut-Tut, It's Smut!

All hail the Baby Blue Queen of the Blogging World.
Kat's Crooked Tales is to the #fridayflash set what late night cable is to network television. She's racy. She knows no borders. And she writes like a house on fire. I don't understand why more people don't read her stories. Maybe it's the sexy subject matter. Maybe it offends.
To me it's like any genre - if the writing is good, I don't care what it's about.
Kat's stories are like that.
Hey, I wouldn't send my kids over to read most of her stories, but since I reached the age of majority a day or two ago I go there regularly with a skip in my step.
This blog isn't just about Kat, though, it's about Kat's Contest. She is hosting a no holds barred adult fiction contest. A Smutfest, I believe she's calling it. And while she's hoping to see some racy content, she's also hoping for adult-oriented tales of all stripes. She can describe this best, but I see it as a forum for stories you would like to write, but don't want your kids or your mother to see. When you write them for your own purposes, you don't swear, or you cut back on the violence. What Kat wants you to do is write the story you always wanted to, the one where your mother isn't looking.
And just in case she is, Kat wants the stories to be anonymous. She'll post them that way, without anyone knowing who you are. I guess she needs to know who you are - but nobody else will.
Sounds kinda fun, eh?
I have one that's been tickling away at me for a while... something I definitely don't want my mother to see. Yes, I know she reads my blog regularly, but that's beside the point...
Need more details? Put on your best lipstick and your breathiest voice and pay Kat a call.
You can see what she's up to here.

  3. It's great that you've been able to feature so many writers lately. Part of the problem I think is finding the newer members of #fridayflash. We had 95 stories last week!

  4. Thank you Chica Bonita!!!

They don't have to be anonymous though if they don't want to be. It's totally up to the individual.

The only part that will be anonymous are the to three entries that I put up to a vote. I want folks to vote for the best story--not a best friend. :)

After we have a clear winner, I'll announce the names or pseudonyms and link blogs if they like. It's up to the writer. I just wanted to give them an out if they wanted to play in secret....Hhehehe.

Thank you for pimping out SmutFest 2010! Can't wait to see what you come up with, Chica bonita!! :)
