B is for Boys
All the Boys in my life.
The Big and the Bairn
the Beau and the Bygone,
in a Brown Booth at Boston Pizza.
B is for Birthdays.
A Book and a Ballcap,
A cat named Ben,
and a Bored little Brother.
B is for Blessed.
Because that's how I feel when I look at my Boy
Who just turned 14 – much too old for a toy.
B is also for Barf.
It happens, they say,
when too many Shirley Temples
are imbibed in one day.
I love photoblogs, Cathy! It's nice to see your smiling family :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch great B words too. I didn't know our boys were so close to the same age (mine just turned 13 :-))

Thanks Tomara! Aren't they lovely, our boys? You know, when we're not having to yell at them?
ReplyDeleteThe men in your life look like keepers! Definitely master anglers!
ReplyDeleteHi there.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on the A-Z list and since I live just down the highway in Orillia, I thought I'd pop in and say hello.
"Hello."
Fun read too.
Boys don't get too old for toys, the toys just get more expensive. Good lookin' crew you have there Cathy!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful blog of birthday's and boys. Brava!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos, Cathy. Your boys got your good looks, methinks.
Knowing you, I wasn't surprised that you worked the B word barf in there! :)
ReplyDeleteNothing better than boys. Even when they're barfing. Poor angel!
ReplyDeleteKathy - yup, I'm thinking I'm the master angler in this crew!
ReplyDeleteInside Out - Hi yourself, Orillia! Imagine finding a blogger from the 'hood in such a huge blogswap!
Harry - That there's what scares me... it was a blast buying him adult books though. Well, you know, not 'Adult' books - just not kids' ones...
Laurita - all those B's, eh? I should have thrown in my bra size.
Laura - Sam seriously barfed at 4 a.m. that night. He says it wasn't the pound of garlic bread or the sliders or the cake... insists it was the Shirley Temple.
Ash - True, I guess, but geez I hate barfing...
Wonderful blog, where would we be without boys, I have two, one living in Spain the other about an hour away from me, Enjoyed the read , look forward to the rest of the month.....I'll be back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, much appreciated.
Yvonne.
B is for beautiful, happy b day yesterday...and happy C day tomorrow. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely post full of love :) Glad to meet you through the challenge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful "B" post! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe were in Bracebridge many (many) years ago to take our daughter to Santa's village.
Added myself to your followers.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun post. I'm the only guy in a houseful of girls--well now it's just my wife and I, but between us we have 4 daughters and now 2 granddaughters. Loved raising the girls, except the teen years were sometimes dicey. Now they are all wonderful ladies.
Contrary to my usual practice of subscribing to comments, to save time during challenge I will not be doing so during April. If you want to respond to my comment , please email me directly from your email notification for the comment.
Thanks.

Nice post! I have twin boys who are having a birthday this month. They'll be 18. I can't figure out what to give them for their birthday and they can't think of anything they want either.
ReplyDeleteI am following your blog now. Happy A-Z blogging!
That was wonderful! Bless you and your boys.
