E is for EW!

Stealth weather dropped us a white bomb overnight dashing all our hopes for an early spring. There is only one word for today and it starts with E.

By the way, make sure you go to yesterday's post, 'D is for Doors,' and enter my Damn Doors Contest. It's easy-peasy and you could win cool Life on the Muskoka River bling.

  1. Phew! When I read Ew in your title, I was almost afraid to read on. With you, ew could relate to so many unpleasant topics! When we get to R, are you going to do a post on roadkill? :)

  2. Actually, Laura, I was saving R for Rectum and I was going to post my colon pictures...

  3. EW = Extra Winter! Too bad you cant bottle it up and export it to Florida in August. Sending Sunny Vibes!

  4. It's actually warmish here today. I'll put out a fan and blow it your way.

  5. Jeez, I just realized that my comment rhymes.

  6. URGH! We had a couple flurries yesterday and that was bad enough. Sorry about hte snow!!! (and nice to meet you, too! Thanks for stopping by today!)

  7. Have heart, Cathy - ours has almost melted from last weekend. However, the other three feet of snow that was under it still remains... Sigh

  8. I agree - EW! I am so glad I live in South and can spend my days at the beach. The older I get the less I like snow except to visit.

  9. Well I used the F word when I saw the snow this morning, you know... fuddle-duddle!

  10. Harry - if I could bottle it, box it, tag it, encase it in concrete, WHAT-EVER, I would ship it down to your house post-haste. And then, after I was done, I'd send blackfly season down your way, too. (Wait a minute... why am I being mean to Harry???? Sorry Harry, I don't mean to be mean - I just got all excited there for a minute thinking of mailing the weather!!!)

Laurita - I felt a warm breeze but it smelled kind of like Kibbles 'n Bits so I'm pretty sure it was my dog's breath. Thanks, though! You are on such a ROLL with your poetry month! Everybody check out Laurita's cool poetry - especially my favourite, The Worstest Dog. So funny! http://ringkeeper.blogspot.com/2011/04/worstest-dog.html

    Laura - Yay!

Hart - that was a fine URGH - only someone with snowflakes in April can say URGH with that kind of ferocity and really mean it!

Kathy - you had me uplifted with the first bit of your comment - then I plummeted to the depths of frozen despair. (Why do we live here? Why? Why?)

Karen - It's beautiful in November and December. Sometimes even in January. In April, though, it kind of loses its wintry charm. Nice to meet you, too! This blogfest is quite the adventure!

Junebug - the beach? Really? *not jealous, not jealous, not ... OH FACE IT, I'm very, very, very jealous. BTW, I like your nickname a lot!

Deb - I laughed out loud, seriously, at work when I saw your comment. Yup, the F word seemed so much more appropriate!!!!!! At least the fresh stuff has now melted and with plus temperatures in the forecast and a bit of rain, maybe the old dead stuff will have the good grace to disappear. Y'know, before the May 24 snow arrives...

  12. Yup we had a foot fall last Friday...enough already. Ours has since receded nicely and I hope it doesn't appear again.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Jan

  13. OK Just exactly where are you? Looks cold wherever it is. But I like your comments, I like your blog and pictures and I think you're a hoot. Will be back following A-Z.

  14. Jan - Oh I feel your pain. At least, I would feel your pain if my foot wasn't frozen.

Jeanne - So I just looked to see where you're from – Florida? We are just about as opposite as we can get on the ends of North America... OK, so I exaggerate a bit... but you get my (snow)drift. I live in the boonies outside Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. But lately Bracebridge is confusing itself with the North Pole, judging by the white stuff outside. (You called me a 'hoot! - SQUEEEE!!!!!)

  15. Yikes!!! Sorry about the snow! (I haven't gotten around to knocking on blogger front doors yet. The hubby was in the ER yesterday and we got home at 2AM. He's okay now. Will try to catch up :) )

  16. Hey, I can think of several phrases for a late
season dump like that - none of which start with E but a few that start with F adjectives...

Have Fun with A to Z!

  17. Samantha - your poor husband! I hope he's doing well.
    KatieO - I hear ya!!!
