Egg swami

I just had the most fabulous realization: I am an awesome dream interpreter!

Thanks to Ol Buzzard, I have discovered my true calling. He wrote a blog post about a bizarro dream he had in which the trunk of his vintage car was filled with a giant egg.

"I opened the trunk of a sixties vintage car and inside was a raw egg. Not just a regular raw egg, but this one filled the entire trunk - with a yoke the side of a spare tire…then I woke up."

He wondered what it might mean but it seemed pretty darned clear to me: he was craving an omelet, a BIG one, like they sell at Denny's on Sunday mornings and, because it was in a CAR, he wanted to order it "to go."

Right? I know. The depth of my dream interpretation powers impresses even me.

So I was thinking, what if I asked y'all to send me your most bizarre dreams and I would use my newfound skills to interpret them for you? Isn't that a fine idea?

Write your dreams in the comments and when I get enough I'll do a "post of enlightenment" that will answer all your nocturnal wonderings.

  1. I rarely remember dreams. And they are almost always conversations. I don't seem to dream in images. Just words.
I am looking forward to the post of enlightenment. I hope that many of the dreamers out there respond to your call...

  2. Last night I dreamed I had a dog and we were sharing treats. We don't have a dog and I don't want one. What do you suppose that means?

  3. I can't remember the last dream I remembered, but am looking forward to interpretations. My sister used to have technicolor Clint Eastwood dreams. Maybe I'll get one of hers.

  5. I dreamed I killed Batman once. I felt bad afterwards. Especially since I am a big Superheroes fan.

  7. First I would have to remember the bizarre dreams. I know I have them, I know they're weird, I just can't remember them.

  9. Well, wonder what teeth cracking into millions of bits like eggshells, and spitting out mouthfuls and mouthfuls of them means?

    1. I have heard that means that you are self conscious of something, or embarrassed that you may say or do something inappropriate.

I have found though, that I have that dream quite often when I've forgotten to brush my teeth before bed. As my dentist says, "You only have to brush the ones you want to keep!" :)

    2. DONNA THAT'S GROSS! But Swami can't wait to "bite into" your eggy dream. (What's with all these egg dreams anyway???? Is everybody fertile or something?)

    1. THAT dream I have often! It is always when I feel like my life is out of control. SO you may have that figured out, but we'll see what the Swami says...

    2. Hmmmm.... two women in cars driving themselves... Swami thinks she knows the answer to this one... stay tuned! (And, for gawd's sake, hire a driver.)

  11. I rarely remember dreams. But I have a recurring one where I'm in a vast cavern at a bonfire, with knights, dragons, dwarves, trolls, princesses, and various other oddities... and we're all singing Take Me Out To The Ballgame.

No, I have no idea what that means.
