Q is for Quiet

It has taken no lullaby to rock me to sleep this past week.

I sleep all night long. I sleep three to four hours every afternoon. When I'm not actually sleeping, I'm on the verge of falling asleep. This is apparently normal when one is fighting strep throat but I apologize profusely to my husband, day after day, for the amount of time I spend in bed. He's been cooking for me, and cleaning, as well as doing all the jobs he usually does around the house, like renovating the bathroom. Not to mention his full time job at the garage.

I am feeling better. The pain in my throat is almost gone. I'm hoping soon the accompanying lethargy disappears as well. In the meantime, I am as quiet as a tomb.

A tomb that snores.

    1. It's tomorrow and while tackling isn't quite on the agenda, I am conscious and that's a start!

  2. I had no idea strep throat took so long to recover from. Clearly I've never had it. I hope you are much better very soon.

  3. Strep takes its sweet time, so let it runs it path. It makes me recall my horrible time with shingles. Couldn't fight it, had to go with it.

  6. A tomb that snores. What a saint you married! Sleep on. You need it.

Finally finished Weezie (loved it!) and am including it in a blog post on May 8th! Woo hoo! Slowly but surely...

  8. So sorry you've been in such terrible shape, Cathy. I hope you're through that nonsense, and are soon your healthy, intriguing, bouncy self.

Easter Blessings, Cathy. Bear hugs, too; as usual.

  12. Ah, how I feel your pain. My poor hubs lives the life of yours this week, all the time, because of my illness. I always feel so guilty that I am laying in bed and he is making dinner, cleaning up and caring for the girls. Then again, that is when I remember most how much I love and cherish him.

  13. You're so lucky to have someone who will take care of things around the house and let you get the rest you need. I've had some wicked body aches and I'm starting to get a sore throat now. Haven't been able to sleep b/c my two little girls run around like banshees all day making so much noise and my wife is too overwhelmed with them to worry about me.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  16. I am on vacation this week. I have done so much around the house that I am falling into bed EXHAUSTED. Which never happens for me.

I will no doubt, need a vacation from my vacation.
